Google Classroom Tips & Tricks

Now that we're all doing Distance Learning and we're spending a lot of time in Google Classroom, here are some tips and tricks to make Google Classroom work better for you:

Can't Login? Use your school email and regular password.  Email brooke.eichele@mpls.k12.mn.us or lynn.lurvey@mpls.k12.mn.us or katherine.bodurtha@mpls.k12.mn.us if you need a reminder of your email and password.

Are you getting too much email from Google Classroom?  In Google Classroom, click on the 3 bars in the top left corner (next to the title of the class).  Scroll all the way down to "Settings".  Here you can choose which email notifications you get from all of your classes.  A common one to turn off is: "Scheduled post published or failed".

Need to join a Google Meet, but can't find the link?  Check the title bar of the Google Classroom page.  There is often a link right under the name of the class.

Are you seeing too many classes in Google Classroom?  With a specific Google Classroom course, you can click on the 3 dots in the top right corner (next to title of the class) and choose "Leave Class" or "Unenroll". You can also remind your former teachers to remove you from classes you're no longer taking. Their emails can be found in the staff directory.
